This War Just Got Too Damn Close

Lance Cpl. James Fredrick Kimple

Lance Cpl. James Fredrick Kimple (Freer), 21, was killed in action on Saturday, May 3, 2008, in the Province of Iraq. He served with First MLG CLB1 Security Company and was stationed out of Camp Pendleton, Calif.

This young man lived just a few short miles from our home. Jacob played basketball against his school during his high school years. Please remember his family in your prayers as they go through these trying times.

James died doing what he wanted to do since age 16. He did it for his family and his country and will always be our hero. The few, the proud, one of our finest.

Please go to this web site to read more about this Fallen Warrior.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a trust fund which has been established at Fifth Third Bank for the education of his three children. All I can say is:

Freedom isn't Free.

I am so sorry to hear about this loss. I included this in my daily prayer requests. Every life we lose in this GWOT and the Islamofacists we are fighting is precious and they are heroes in my eyes!

yes, that was me.....I'd blame my Sailor for my language, but I already knew most of those words before I met him....he just taught me how to be more colorful in the delivery. ;-)
